  20. First of all, let me thank everyone who replied to my e-mail.
  21. After I posted my inquiry to the list, I received a 23 page fax from Aspen
  22. Systems and e-mail from deskstation. Both were enlighting and I really
  23. appreciated getting all their information but, being manufacturers, it is easy
  24. to assume they can't be completely impartial. It would be interesting to find
  25. out from real users what machines they ended up purchasing and how they came
  26. around to making the decisions they made. So far, Eric Case, Mark Thopson and
  27. Ed (CEVAnim@aol.com) have offered teir help and I'm sure that any information
  28. regarding your experiences in shopping for Alpha systems you guys could give
  29. me would be extremely useful. Also, I would like to here from someone at
  30. Amblin Imaging, being who they are in the Lightwave community.

  32. One thing I'm still very uncertain about is getting the animations to tape
  33. from the Alpha platform. It seems that Targa doesn't have NT driver yet, so
  34. what other options do I have? I work exclusively for broadcast television
  35. advertising and final video output quality MUST be 100%. Is the PAR card an
  36. option? What about networking with the Amiga and a Toaster (even though
  37. toaster video output is not quite 100%, it's what I've been working with and
  38. has been satisfactory), what would be involved in this process?
